Love driving trucks but don't want to spend your life away from home?
We're looking for an experienced
HC Truck Driver
to join a well-established and growing portable building company based in
Bundamba, near Ipswich
.
This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely
loves truck driving
, is confident transporting
wide and oversized loads
, and enjoys being out on the road dealing directly with customers.
Most of your work will be
local and regional
, transporting portable and modular buildings to customer sites, with the
occasional overnight trip
when required.
The role
You'll be responsible for safely transporting portable buildings from the Bundamba yard to sites throughout South East Queensland and surrounding regions.
This isn't a role where you simply jump in the truck and disappear for the day. You'll often be the
face of the company when you arrive on site
, so we're looking for someone friendly, professional and comfortable having a chat with customers.
You'll also need to be happy to
get out of the truck and lend a hand when required
. We want someone practical, easy-going and willing to pitch in rather than someone who believes their job starts and finishes behind the wheel.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a current
HC licence




Has experience transporting
wide, oversized or unusual loads
Is confident manoeuvring larger loads into different sites
Takes pride in their truck, load and presentation
Understands load restraint and safe transport practices
Is reliable, practical and safety-focused
Enjoys dealing with customers and representing a business professionally
Is happy to help with loading, unloading and general tasks when needed
Doesn't mind the
occasional night away
Wants a stable, long-term position with predominantly local work
Experience transporting
portable buildings, modular buildings, machinery, structural components or similar oversized loads
would be highly regarded.
