We're looking for an
experienced Auto Electrician / Automotive Air Conditioning Technician
to join our team in a
workshop‐based role
.
n
Our customer base consists primarily of
light vehicles, prime movers and trailing equipment
, so we're looking for someone who is confident working across a broad range of vehicles and electrical systems.
n
This is more than just a hands‐on trade role. You'll also be dealing directly with customers, organising parts and helping manage jobs through from initial diagnosis to invoicing and payment.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Carrying out auto electrical diagnostics, repairs and installations
n
Servicing and repairing automotive air conditioning systems
n
Fault finding across light vehicles, prime movers and trailing equipment
n
Installing and repairing lighting, accessories, batteries, charging systems and other vehicle electrical equipment
n
Liaising directly with customers regarding faults,



repairs and job progress
n
Providing customers with professional advice and recommendations
n
Creating invoices and processing customer payments
n
Identifying, sourcing and ordering parts required for jobs
n
Managing workshop jobs efficiently from booking through to completion
n
Maintaining accurate job cards, parts records and service documentation
n
Keeping the workshop and work areas organised and operating safely
n
What you need
n
n
Australian-recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification
n
Automotive air conditioning experience and relevant
licensing/accreditation
n
Robust diagnostic and fault‐finding skills
n
Experience working on light vehicles and/or heavy vehicles
n
Experience with prime movers and trailing equipment will be highly regarded
n
Good computer and administrative skills
n
Confidence dealing directly with customers
n
Ability to prepare invoices, take payments and manage basic workshop paperwork
n
Ability to identify and order the correct parts for repairs
n
Strong communication and organisational skills
n
Professional, reliable and safety‐focused approach
n
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for jobs from start to finish
n
Experience in a
busy auto electrical, heavy vehicle or fleet maintenance workshop
would be highly regarded.
