Your Role
n
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to people with complex needs, helping them live independently. Your responsibilities will include:
n
Personal care
– Supporting people to cook, shower, groom, take medication safely, move around their home, and more.
n
Community & social engagement
– Encouraging and joining our clients as they participate in local activities.
n
Supporting clients with behavioural & mental health needs




– Working with effective Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Practitioners.
n
Helping families with complex needs
– Providing emotional and practical support.
n
Flexible travel across Sunshine Coast
– Bringing care where it's needed most.
n
What You Need to Get Started
n
Essential:
n
n
Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain).
n
Blue Card (or willing to obtain).
n
First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain).
n
Driver's license & reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
n
NDIS Worker Orientation Module & COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate (free online).
n
Positive attitude, passion, and physical fitness.
n
n
Preferred (but not required):
n
n
2+ years of experience in disability support.
n
Experience with Restrictive Practices & PBSP.
n
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Allied Health, or Mental Health.
n
Studying or qualified in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Psychology).
n
n
