n Chef – Full Time – Immediate Start Storybook Holdings Pty Ltd – T/A The Cottage Café & Restaurant Position:- Full Time Salary Range:- $60K - $80K The Cottage Café & Restaurant, Berrima is seeking an experienced chef to join our team.
n
The position is permanent full-time and based at our family owned and operated Café restaurant in Berrima NSW. To be considered for the position you must have extensive experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen. The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to: Responsibilities:
n
n
Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
n
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n




Costing menu items and sourcing quality products at competitive prices
n
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Kitchen staff
n
Demonstrating techniques required for the operation of an efficient kitchen
n
Enforcing hygiene regulations in line with WHS regulations and best practice
n
Managing recipe development to ensure the right combination and quantity of food
n
n
Experience and Requirements:
n
n
A passion and love of cooking
n
2+ years experience
n
Solid communication skills
n
Willingness to lead and develop other staff members
n
A team player
n
Be able to work morning, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts
n
