Yargi Racing is seeking a highly experienced and capable Horse Trainer to join the team. This is a full time and ongoing position.
Key responsibilities n
n
Train and educate young horses
n
Conduct track work, including riding timed gallops
n
Apply horse training and handling methods specific to Thoroughbred Racing
n
Operate equipment safely and use personal protective equipment
n
Take instruction and provide information through verbal and written communication
n
Work in a team and independently
n
About you n
n
Minimum 2-3 years full-time professional experience in a similar role, or 2 years full-time experience and a relevant qualification
n
Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to Thoroughbred Racing
n
Experience in track work, including riding timed gallops
n
Proven ability to train and educate young horses
n
Verbal and written communication skills to take instruction and provide information
n
Ability to work in a team and independently
n
Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment
n
