WA Standard Tiling and Stone is a Perth-based tiling and waterproofing contractor working across both residential and commercial projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
n
We are looking for experienced and reliable Wall & Floor Tilers, Waterproofers and Screeders to join our growing team.
n
This role is suited to tilers who take pride in their workmanship, understand construction drawings and specifications, and can consistently deliver a high-quality finish on site.
About the Role n
You will be involved in a variety of residential and commercial projects, including new homes, apartments, commercial buildings, bathrooms, wet areas, balconies, terraces and other specialist tiling works.
n
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, specifications and finish schedules
n
Wall and floor tiling using ceramic, porcelain, stone and feature tiles
n
Setting out and accurately measuring tiling areas
n
Cutting and installing tiles accurately and efficiently
n
Screeding floors to the required levels and falls
n
Preparing substrates and applying primers
n
Waterproofing bathrooms, wet areas, balconies and other required areas
n
Installing waterproofing membranes in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications
n
Understanding and working to AS **** and AS **** requirements where applicable
n
Installing floor wastes, puddle flanges and other wet-area details
n
Producing consistent and accurate tile joints
n
Completing mitred edges with a neat and consistent finish
n
Grouting tiled areas to a high standard
n
Installing silicone with a clean, smooth and professional finish
n
Identifying and reporting site issues before commencing work
n
Following drawings, tile selections and construction details




n
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area
n
Completing daily work scopes within the required timeframe
n
What We Are Looking For n
We are looking for experience tilers with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, with strong preference for candidates who have experience working on both commercial and residential projects.
You should have: n
n
Proven experience in wall and floor tiling
n
Strong knowledge of ceramic, porcelain, stone and feature tiles
n
Experience with screeding and achieving correct floor falls
n
Experience with waterproofing wet areas
n
Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
High standards for grout, mitres and silicone finishes
n
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
n
Ability to follow instructions and project requirements
n
Good communication skills
n
Reliable, honest and positive attitude
n
Strong work ethic and commitment to completing work on schedule
n
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
Commitment to maintaining a clean and secure workplace
n
Full Australian driver's license and reliable transport
n
