Furphy Engineering is a long-established Australian manufacturing business specializing in stainless steel tanks, vessels, fabrication, and galvanizing services. They are seeking an experienced Purchasing / Procurement Officer to join their Operations team in Shepparton VIC. Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Raise and manage purchase orders to support production requirements
n
Support supply chain logistics
n
Maintain accurate document control
n
Identify discrepancies and elevate or resolve issues
n
Support procurement activities and inbound supply logistics
n
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
n
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery outcomes
n
Assist with inventory control, stock takes, and cost tracking
n
Support contract administration and procurement documentation
n
Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards
n
n
Skills & Experience: Essential:




n
n
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role
n
Experience using ERP and purchasing systems
n
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
n
Strong organizational and planning abilities
n
Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and market research skills
n
Understanding of quality standards and incoming goods inspection
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
n
Knowledge of international procurement and freight logistics
n
Understanding of ISO**** Quality Management Systems
n
Qualification in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
n
n
Salary range is $85,000 - $100,000pa commensurate with experience. Full time Position available. Application opens on 28th of August **** and closes on 28th of September ****.
