Sydney Freezers is a leading food service supplier, providing and distributing a wide range of products to businesses across Greater Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and Canberra.
Our product range includes small goods, fresh meat, fresh poultry, frozen seafood, dry and frozen goods, packaging and chemicals, as well as our own branded oil, flour and fries.
With a fleet of
60+ vehicles
and deliveries six days a week, we are a busy and growing business. Our customers can place orders through our online ordering system, by email or directly through our customer service team.
We are proud to support Australian farmers and suppliers and have established strong relationships with our key suppliers and manufacturers.
About the Role
We are looking for a
Reconciliation Officer to join our Accounts team
.
The main focus of this role is to ensure our financial records are
accurate, complete and properly reconciled
.
You will review financial transactions, complete regular reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up on any issues. You will also assist with general accounts duties and work closely with the wider Accounts team.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to identify discrepancies are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Complete regular bank and account reconciliations
Review transactions and identify discrepancies
Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues




Reconcile bank statements against the general ledger
Process invoices and payments accurately
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Follow up outstanding debtor accounts
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Prepare reconciliation and financial reports as required
Assist with month-end processes
Maintain organised accounting records and documentation
Work with other departments to resolve account queries
Support the Accounts team with day-to-day accounting tasks
Complete other finance and accounting tasks as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is
reliable, organised and highly detail-oriented
.
You will have:
A qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field
At least 1 years' experience in accounting, finance or reconciliation
Experience with bank and account reconciliations
Solid attention to detail and accuracy
Good numerical and analytical skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with accounting software
What We Offer
$60,000 – $65,000 per year
Full-time, Monday to Friday
