We are seeking an experienced
Fitter/Electrician
to join D'Orsogna Limited on a
full time basis
, working the
afternoon shift
. Based at our Mickleham, VIC facility, this role is integral to maintaining and optimising our production equipment and electrical systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that our machinery operates at peak efficiency, supporting the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and contributing directly to our operational success.
Key responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on production machinery and equipment with focus on thermoformer equipment and slicing equipment.
Conduct electrical inspections, testing and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation
Install, maintain and service electrical systems and components within the facility
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime
Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to scheduled maintenance plans
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, repairs and equipment performance
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations at all times
Operate and maintain specialist tools and diagnostic equipment
What we're looking for
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in fitting and/or electrical work
Experience with thermoformers including multivac, variovac and wepack.
Proven experience as a fitter and/or electrician in a manufacturing or production environment maintaining handttman equipment and Weber slicers.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems,



machinery operation and electrical principles
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments
A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
Flexibility to work afternoon shifts and adapt to shift-based work schedules
Desirable: experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems
