Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Western Sydney, with a strong presence in its market and a focus on operational excellence.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join their finance team and gain exposure to both financial and management accounting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, with a particular focus on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, inventory, costing and month-end reporting.
n
This is an ideal prospect for someone with 1-3 years' accounting experience who wants to broaden their commercial exposure and develop their career within a manufacturing environment.
n
A key requirement of the role is hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), ideally within a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based business.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes
n
Prepare general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Process journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments
n
Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
n
Support inventory valuation and investigate stock variances
n
Assist with product costing, COGS and manufacturing cost analysis
n
Analyse production and inventory variances and elevate discrepancies
n




Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as required
n
Perform bank and other key account reconciliations
n
Assist with preparation of monthly financial and management reports
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
n
Maintain accurate financial data within Microsoft Dynamics 365
n
Assist with audit requirements and provide supporting documentation
n
Work closely with operations, supply chain, warehouse and production teams
n
Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
n
About You n
We are looking for an accounting professional who is commercially minded, analytical and keen to develop their career.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
n
1-3 years' experience in a financial accounting role
n
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
n
Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale, distribution or another inventory-based environment
n
Understanding of inventory accounting and reconciliations
n
Exposure to product costing, COGS or manufacturing variances will be highly regarded
n
Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
n
Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas
n
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
n
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
