Steel Fixer
to join our team in Orange, NSW.
The Opportunity n
This is a
residential-only
opportunity with potential for a 7:7 or 14:7 roster (project dependent), offering a genuine balance of dynamic underground work and scheduled time off.
n
Please note: this role does not offer fly-in fly-out or drive-in drive-out arrangements, and applicants must be based in or around Orange, NSW, or willing to relocate at their own expense.
What You'll Be Responsible For n
n
Reading job drawings to work out what steel goes where
n
Cutting, bending and placing rebar and mesh
n
Tying and fixing steel in place
n
Setting up bar chairs and spacers so everything sits right
n
Working alongside concreters and carpenters to get steel ready before pours
n
Keeping your work area safe and tidy
n
Letting your supervisor know if the drawings don't match what you see on site
n
What You'll Bring n
n
Solid experience as a Steel Fixer on construction or civil jobs
n




Ability to read job drawings
n
Good fitness — the job involves lifting, bending and working in tight spaces
n
Being a good team player
n
A genuine focus on doing things safely
n
Construction White Card (or willing to get one before you start)
n
Ability to pass a medical check and police check
n
A current driver's licence
n
Nice to have: n
n
High Risk Work Licence (dogging or rigging)
n
Experience across different jobs — footings, slabs, walls, precast
n
