Senior Finance Manager – Property Development

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Senior Finance Manager
to join a highly regarded, privately owned property and development business with a strong track record across residential, multi-residential and mixed-use projects.
n
With an integrated development model spanning the property lifecycle, the business places significant importance on disciplined financial management, commercial decision-making and understanding the financial drivers behind each development.
The Opportunity
n
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of the finance team while playing a key role in the broader commercial and strategic finance agenda.

Act as

, providing senior financial leadership across the business.
n
n
Lead, mentor and develop a team of
accountants
, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and accounting outcomes.
n
n
Own and review
property development feasibilities
, including project assumptions, cash flows, funding requirements, margins, returns and sensitivity analysis.
n
n
Partner with the Development team throughout the project lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through to delivery, sales and settlement.
n
n
Provide commercial analysis and financial insight to support investment and development decisions.
n
n




Prepare and review monthly management reporting, budgets, forecasts and financial performance analysis.
n
n
Monitor project profitability, cash flow and financial performance across the development portfolio.
n
n
Supportwith annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
n
n
Oversee financial controls, accounting policies and compliance requirements.
n
n
Manage and review statutory reporting, taxation, audit and year-end processes.
n
n
Support project funding, debt facilities and banking relationships as required.
n
n
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, reporting and controls.
n
About You
n
You will be a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical accounting capability with genuine property development experience.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
n
CA/CPA qualification
with significant post-qualification experience.
n
n
Proven experience in a
Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role
.
n
n
Solid experience within
property development
, ideally across residential and/or mixed-use projects.
n
n
Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing
property development feasibilities and financial models
.
n
n
Strong understanding of development project economics, including acquisition, construction, funding, sales, settlements, cash flow and project returns.
