Buyer
n
Fixed Term Contract: 5 Months
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Key Competencies n
n
Minimum Grade 12
n
National Diploma in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement or buying role
n
Solid ERP system experience (SAP, Sage, Accpac or similar)
n
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
n
Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
n
Must have a valid driver's license
n
Pre-employment medical required
n
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To) n
n
Procure goods and services in accordance with company procurement procedures
n
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations
n
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service levels
n




Create and process purchase orders on the ERP system
n
Source and develop reliable suppliers
n
Monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
n
Procure mining, crushing, workshop and ready-mix plant spares and consumables
n
Track and expedite outstanding orders
n
Maintain procurement records and documentation
n
Support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Ensure the uninterrupted supply of operationally critical materials and services
n
Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
n
n
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
