We're seeking an Underground Electrician to join our high-performing maintenance team at Pajingo Mine. This is an exciting chance to work in a agile underground mining environment where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

Working on a family-friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of underground electrical infrastructure and equipment while contributing to a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement

About the Role
n
n
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations on underground electrical equipment.
n
Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults across underground plant and infrastructure.
n
Conduct breakdown response and preventative maintenance activities.
n
Test and commission equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
n
Complete maintenance documentation and associated paperwork.
n
Support and supervise electrical contractors where required.
n
Identify and report hazards while promoting protected work practices.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational performance.
n
Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
n
Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence.
n
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
n




Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Ability to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
n
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
n
n
Previous experience working as an Underground Maintenance Electrician.
n
High Voltage Switching qualification and experience.
n
Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drilling equipment.
n
Fault-finding experience on SCADA, HMI, PLC and telemetry systems.
n
Experience with leaky feeder communication systems.
n
Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.
n
High Risk EWP and Forklift licences.
n
