GMA is a rapidly growing grounds maintenance, asbestos removal, landscaping, civil works and soil remediation business based in Bacchus Marsh. We deliver a diverse range of projects across Victoria and interstate, including public spaces, commercial properties, industrial sites and civil infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Civil Operations Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for a hands‐on leader who can manage crews, coordinate projects, operate heavy machinery and take responsibility for delivering works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
About the Role n
You will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish across public spaces, commercial areas, industrial sites and civil works.
n
This role suits an experienced Supervisor, Foreman, Project Lead or Senior Operator who is comfortable working both on the tools and managing people, plant and project requirements.
n
You will coordinate site activities, supervise crews and subcontractors, operate a range of heavy machinery as required, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead and supervise civil, landscape, bulk earthworks and site remediation projects.
n
Coordinate daily site activities, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
n
Supervise and mentor operators, labourers and other site personnel.
n
Operate multiple types of heavy machinery as required, including 30T+ excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, graders, rollers, dump trucks and specialised attachments.
n
Undertake civil and landscape works including detailed earthworks, bulk earthworks, grading, site preparation, drainage, clean‐up and rehabilitation works.
n
Manage industrial site clean‐ups, commercial properties and public‐space works.
n
Read and interpret plans, specifications and site documentation.
n
Use GPS,



machine control and final‐trim systems where required.
n
Monitor project progress, productivity and quality.
n
Coordinate with clients, project managers, site representatives and subcontractors.
n
Conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings and pre‐starts.
n
Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
n
Ensure all works comply with company procedures, safety requirements, environmental controls and project specifications.
n
Monitor plant condition and ensure pre‐start inspections and maintenance requirements are completed.
n
Report project progress, issues, variations, plant requirements and safety concerns to management.
n
Troubleshoot site issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving.
n
Ensure works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
n
Maintain a professional relationship with clients and represent GMA positively on site.

About You n
n
Experienced, hands‐on Civil Supervisor / Foreman with a strong civil construction background.
n
Proven ability to lead crews, subcontractors and daily site operations.
n
Skilled in bulk earthworks, landscaping, remediation and general civil works.
n
Confident operating heavy machinery and using GPS/machine control systems.
n
Able to read and interpret plans, specifications and site documentation.
n
Strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and meeting project deadlines.
n
Practical problem‐solver with excellent communication and leadership skills.
n
Reliable, organised and professional with a strong work ethic and committed to delivering high‐quality results.
