Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – 6 Month Contract
n We're looking for a hands‐on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to backfill someone who's seconded to a project, and you will be assisting on the ongoing operations and maintenanceof our client's enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
n The role:
n

Administer and continuously improve cloud/hybrid infrastructure platforms, ensuring availability, performance and security
n
Act asescalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issues — investigation, resolution and root cause analysis
n
Drive automation and standardisation through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
n
Maintain technical documentation — solution designs, runbooks, standards and knowledge base articles
n
Collaborate with vendors,



MSPs and internal stakeholders on operational and project outcomes
n
Youll need: n
n
Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, backup, DR, hybrid connectivity) and Microsoft 365
n
Advanced Windows Server and Linux administration in enterprise environments
n
Hands‐on Hyper‐V virtualisation experience (provisioning, clustering, networking, performance)
n
Experience with enterprise storage/backup (e.g. Commvault, SAN) and DR/business continuity
n
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory & Group Policy
n
Intermediate+
PowerShell/scripting
and automation skills
n
Experience with cloud monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
n
Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles (vulnerability management, Zero Trust, Microsoft Defender) and ITIL service management
n
