Senior Support Worker - across 3 SIL Homes (Casual) n
Lead on the floor, not from a spreadsheet.

Able Mentor Services is looking for experienced support workers ready to take the lead across our three Supported Independent Living homes in Coopers Plains and Wellington Point. This is a hands-on senior role: you'll work shifts in all three houses, and you'll set the standard for how they run. We may appoint more than one person.
WHAT YOU'LL DO n
n
Work regular shifts across the three homes as the senior worker on the floor — you'll know every house, every team and every person we support there
n
Be the go-to for the team on shift: modelling good practice, coaching newer workers, escalating early
n
Keep each house running: support plans followed, medications and records in order, incidents reported properly and on time, and the same standard in all three
n
Work with the Director and coordinators on rosters, each person's goals and the small things that make a home feel like a home
n
Build honest working relationships with the people we support, their families, support coordinators and other providers
n
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR n
n
At least two years' disability support experience, including SIL or similar 24/7 settings
n
Experience implementing behaviour support plans, including restrictive practice reporting obligations
n
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (current, or applied),



current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009), NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, and right to work in Australia
n
Open Queensland driver licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle — driving between the three homes is part of the role, kilometre allowance paid
n
Confident with shift notes, incident reporting and digital care management systems
n
Valuable availability across a varied roster, including weekends and occasional sleepovers or nights
n
Certificate IV in Disability or Diploma of Community Services
n
Experience leading a small team or acting as senior on shift
n
Medication administration and manual handling training
n

SCHADS Level 3 casual rates plus penalties, with an expected regular pattern of around 32 hours a week across the three houses and a six-month review of the role and your engagement

Genuine authority across the houses: you'll be trusted to keep all three running well
