The role:
n
Step into a busy hospital ultrasound service over the Christmas and New Year period. You'll manage a wide-ranging acute caseload across Emergency, inpatient and antenatal services, with the support of an established sonography team.

n Hourly pay rate: DOE | Public holiday and on-call opportunities | Accom + travel support
n Location: Hospital-based opportunity | Northern NSW

n Date and Duration: 21 December ******** January ****, with the possibility of a further one-week extension
n Hours: Rostered 8:00am–4:00pm or 10:00am–6:00pm, with potential public holiday and on-call work

Distinctive Aspects of This Role:
n
n
Scan a broad acute caseload including abdominal pain, renal, gallbladder, liver, female pelvis, ectopic pregnancy and torsion presentations.
n
Support inpatients, Emergency, antenatal clinic and potentially fracture clinic patients.
n
Access a dedicated room for acute patients who need to remain in bed.
n
Occasional portable scanning may be required for ICU patients.
n
Work with three Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems.
n
Join a team of six sonographers making up approximately four full-time equivalent positions.
n

Current ASAR registration

Confidence managing acute ED presentations

Ability to work independently in a hospital setting

Availability for the full Christmas–New Year placement | Comfortable with being on call if required
