Lead the floor at one of Canberra's best-known waterfront restaurants, on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin. Water's Edge Canberra is a one-hat fine dining restaurant in the Parliamentary Triangle. We run à la carte service and functions for up to 100 guests. We are a small, hands-on team.
Key responsibilities n
Run front-of-house service across lunch, dinner and functions
n
Lead, train and roster the FOH team of about 6, and hold standards on every shift
n
Handle reservations and guest flow through OpenTable, including dome and function allocation
n
Own guest experience, complaints and online reviews
n
Handle cash-up, end-of-day reporting and basic labour/sales tracking
n
Coordinate with the kitchen on service timing, menus and specials
n




Support functions and events from enquiry through to the night itself
About you n
2+ years in a supervisor or manager role in fine dining or premium hospitality
n
Current ACT RSA
n
Available weekends, evenings and public holidays
n
Solid wine and beverage knowledge, or real willingness to build it
n
Calm under pressure, and able to lead by example on a busy floor
n
Experience with OpenTable and a POS (Idealpos is an advantage)
n
$80,000 + super, depending on experience
n
Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
n
Staff meal on full shifts
n
Scope to grow the role as functions and events expand
