About the Role n
The Café Assistant (Part time) works alongside the Café Manager to support the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the College Café and catering services.
n
This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, food and café operations, stock control and administration.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the College Café and catering services, providing support to students and staff.
n
Providing friendly and professional service to students, staff, parents and suppliers.
n
Monitoring stock levels, undertaking stocktakes,



placing orders and checking deliveries.
n
Processing sales, stock and invoices.
n
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, workplace health and safety.
n
Supporting and, when required, supervising volunteer parent helpers.
n
Supporting banking and the secure handling of cash and other payments when required.
n
Undertaking other café, catering and administrative duties as directed by the Café Manager.

About You n
We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a café, catering, hospitality or similar environment.
n
Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
n
Confident working with stock, ordering and basic financial administration.
n
A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with a wide range of people.
n
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
n
Calm, adaptable and qualified when working in a busy environment.
n
Willing and capable of taking initiative and stepping into additional responsibility when required.
