I'm currently working with a leading delivery partner supporting Australia's defence and national security sector, and we're looking to bring in a
Senior Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administrator
to join a long-term, mission-critical program.
n
This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone who wants to operate in a secure, high-impact environment, working on enterprise-scale cloud platforms that directly support defence capability.
The Role n
You'll be responsible for the ongoing support, stability, and uplift of RHEL environments hosted in Azure, with a strong focus on automation, resilience, and security compliance.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
n
n
Manage and maintain RHEL environments across production and non-production
n
Drive automation through Ansible Automation Platform and Satellite
n
Ensure system performance, availability, and patch compliance using Azure-native tooling
n
Troubleshoot L2/L3 infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and networking
n
Work closely with service desk and change teams in line with ITIL processes
n
Support monitoring and observability via Azure Monitor and Dynatrace
n
Contribute to backup, recovery, and DR validation activities
n
Maintain documentation within a controlled, security-focused environment
n
Mentor junior Admins and Engineers
n
What I'm Looking For n
I'm keen to speak with engineers who are comfortable operating in structured, highly regulated environments, and who bring a strong mix of Linux, cloud,



and automation expertise.

Key experience:
n
n
Strong background in RHEL administration
n
Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform and Satellite
n
Proven experience working in Microsoft Azure (IaaS) environments
n
Solid scripting and automation skills (with Git/version control)
n
Experience supporting both Linux and Windows Server VMs
n
Strong troubleshooting capability across infrastructure and OS layers
n
Experience with Defence and National Security work or Similar
n
Nice to Have n
n
Red Hat certifications (RHCSA or similar)
n
Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code
n
Previous experience in Defence or Government environments
n

Active AGSVA NV1 Clearance
n
Australian Citizenship
n
