We are seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Automotive Electrician to join our growing team.

Tasks and Responsibilities n
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
n
n
Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults in motor vehicles using specialised diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
n
Inspecting, testing and troubleshooting vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters and electronic control units (ECUs).
n
Repairing and replacing faulty electrical wiring, wiring harnesses, switches, sensors and other electrical and electronic components.
n
Installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles.
n
Testing and repairing charging, starting, ignition and other vehicle electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.
n
Installing and integrating aftermarket electrical accessories,



including audio systems, alarms and navigation systems.
n
Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer specifications to accurately identify and repair faults.
n
Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and electrical system checks.
n
Updating and reprogramming vehicle software, firmware and electronic control modules where required.
n
Conducting post-repair testing to ensure electrical systems operate safely and effectively.
n
Communicating diagnostic findings and repair requirements to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service.
n
Skills and Experience n
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
n
n
A relevant Automotive Electrician trade qualification or equivalent recognised qualification and relevant experience.
n
Demonstrated experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automotive electrical and electronic systems.
n
Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment, electrical testing tools and fault-finding techniques.
n
Strong knowledge of automotive wiring, electrical components and up-to-date vehicle electronic systems.
n
The ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
n
A current manual driver's licence.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
At least one year experience as an Automotive Electrician.
n
Experience working with Volkswagen Auto Group vehicles, Mercedes-Benz, BMW or within a European or high-performance automotive workshop will be highly regarded.
