Where you'll be working n
The successful applicant will work full time within the Transitional Aged Care Program – Greater Newcastle, which is based at Wallsend Health Campus. They will be working within a large, allied health and nursing teams with clients over the age of 65 who are living at home and are undertaking the 12-week rehabilitation and transitional program. We are a friendly, cohesive team and all work together to achieve the goals of the client.
The Opportunity n
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) role is a dynamic position which has a mix of direct client care and administration. You will work with a team of Allied Health Assistant's and the workload is shared. You will actively participate in a client's rehab program and your contributions are valued. Line management of the AHA is by the Allied Health Service Manager for TACP. Orientation and training will be a hybrid model between line manager and members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be linked in with the District AHA networking group.

To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
