n Hours: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 12am (4 x 10hr Shift)

About the role
n
Halcyon Proteins manufactures a range of liquid and powder specialty food ingredients for the local and export markets. An Australian owned and operated company since **** we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team within a busy food-processing facility. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving production equipment and associated plant to ensure reliable and efficient operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands‐on fitter who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key responsibilities
n
Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on food-processing equipment.
n
Diagnose faults to minimise production downtime.
n
Repair, modify and install machinery and associated equipment.
n
Maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, bearings, valves and pneumatic systems.
n
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
n




Complete preventative maintenance inspections and maintenance records.
n
Work closely with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
n
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workshop organisation.
n
Follow all workplace health, safety, food safety and hygiene requirements.

About you
n
Trade qualification as a Fitter and Machinist / Cert III Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
n
Previous maintenance experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environment.
n
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
n
Restricted Electrical License Class highly regarded.
n
Welding and fabrication skills desirable.
n
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality.
n
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
