Remuneration:
$94,****** - $124,****** (based on level of experience) + salary packaging
Classification:
In line with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement this role is classified as a Grade 4 Social Worker, Grade 4 Occupational Therapist, Grade 2 Psychologist or Nurse Grade 4 (NP75) Registered Psychiatric.
About the Role
CASEA (CHAMS and Schools Early Action) is a Department of Families Fairness and Housing Victoria (DFFH) initiative developed in consultation with the Department of Education and the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). The program is a multi-level evidence-based approach that offers support to children, families and school communities.
The CASEA program is an outreach service provided by the Infant, Child and Family Service. It provides early intervention specialist services of screening/assessment, treatment, consultation and groupwork to children and families, experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties and mental health problems who are enrolled in Grades Prep-3, within selected schools.
The CASEA Clinician will provide highquality, evidence based clinical assessments and treatments modalities at an individual and group level. The clinician will be required to undertake mental health and psychosocial assessment and deliver support for young people with reliable mental illness in the community, as well as maintaining a small caseload.
Duties include undertaking assessment of identified children as per the program model, including crisis assessment and management on an outreach basis, provide evidence-based group approaches for children and their parents,



and support and enhance school-based understanding of social, emotional and behavioural factors in order to reduce the impact and prevalence of mental health difficulties.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will bring a passion for supporting the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of children and families, together with:
An approved qualification and current registration in
Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in delivering
early intervention strategies
that support positive mental health outcomes for children and young people
Experience facilitating
therapeutic and psychoeducational groups
with children, young people and/or families
Well-developed assessment skills, including conducting comprehensive intake, screening, risk and safety assessments, and care planning
The ability to provide consultation, triage and support to children, families, carers and other professionals
Experience using evidence-based screening and assessment tools to inform intervention and treatment planning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders
A collaborative approach and proven ability to work effectively within a
multidisciplinary team
Experience partnering with schools, families and community services to deliver integrated and coordinated care
