The Opportunity n
Veolia is seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our Victorian Water Operations team, based in Ballarat.
n
This is a varied role combining plant operations, maintenance, water quality monitoring and practical problem solving. You will work with contemporary treatment systems, including SCADA, and help improve plant safety, reliability and performance.
n
The role involves regular travel across Victoria, including some overnight stays, and participation in an on call roster once every 6 weeks.

What you'll be responsible for n
n
Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants
n
Monitor treatment processes using SCADA and other systems
n
Complete routine maintenance, fault finding and minor repairs
n
Collect water samples and maintain accurate records
n
Inspect equipment and identify maintenance requirements
n




Respond to plant issues and participate in the on call roster
n
Support continuous improvement across safety, quality and plant performance
n
What you'll need to be successful n
n
Experience in water treatment operations
n
An understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Willingness to travel and participate in rostered evening and weekend work
n
