An established and growing construction and insurance building services business is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to join its Mildura-based team.
n
The business delivers a diverse range of commercial and residential construction projects, insurance building repairs, emergency works, project management and facilities maintenance across Victoria and New South Wales.
n Working with major organisations across the insurance, government and commercial sectors, this is an opportunity to join a busy operation with a strong pipeline of varied construction projects.
About the Role n
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being on site, leading trades and getting involved in the work when required.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead and coordinate trade teams to deliver high-quality construction works safely and efficiently.
n
Manage daily site activities, priorities, resources and operational issues.
n
Work hands-on alongside the team when required to support project delivery.
n
Monitor project budgets, identify variances and take corrective action to maintain cost control.
n
Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve project performance.
n
Ensure trades have the information, materials and resources required to work effectively.
n
Proactively identify and remove blockers that could impact productivity or timelines.
n
Read and interpret plans, specifications and project documentation.
n
Assist with resolving complex technical, scope and stakeholder issues.
n
Work collaboratively with Project Managers, support staff and technical teams.
n
Maintain a strong site safety culture and compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
n
Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders regarding progress, risks and project requirements.
n
Build and maintain productive relationships with subcontractors and trade partners.
n




Mentor and support trade staff to develop their skills and capabilities.
n
Promote a positive, collaborative and accountable workplace culture.

About You n
You'll be an experienced construction professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a site while still being prepared to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team.
You will ideally bring: n
n
Previous experience supervising construction projects and trade teams.
n
Strong practical construction and trade knowledge.
n
Ability to confidently read and interpret plans and specifications.
n
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Sound commercial awareness and experience working within project budgets.
n
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
n
A proactive approach and ability to anticipate upcoming project requirements.
n
Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
n
Reliability, punctuality and a robust work ethic.
n
Capacity to undertake physically demanding work when required.
n
Flexibility to work additional hours where project requirements demand it.
n
Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
n
