Cottage by the Sea Queenscliff Inc. – Queenscliff VIC

You will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness across Cottage by the Sea's two facilities, helping to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities n
n
Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, shared spaces and high traffic areas
n
Changing linen and laundering
n
Vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors
n
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, showers, toilets and kitchen counters
n
Completing cleaning schedules and required documentation
n
Maintaining, restocking and ordering of cleaning supplies/chemicals
n
Conducting safety checks and reporting hazards and maintenance issues
n
Follow safe work practices when using cleaning products, equipment and chemicals
n
Follow safe manual handling practices
n
Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure facilities are ready for our programs, visitors and events
n
About you n
n
Proven experience in cleaning
n
Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and standards
n
Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
n
Current working with children check and Police check
n
Reliable,

Friendly and co-operative
n
Ability to follow instructions and manage workload in allotted time frame
n
Able to work efficiently and effectively unsupervised
n
Excellent organisation skills and time management
n
Physically capable of undertaking the duties of the role, including standing, bending, lifting and moving cleaning equipment

Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including participants, visitors, volunteers and other staff members
n
Committed to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming workplace
