genU is looking for Casual Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.
n
Please apply if you:

Have availability 2-3 weekdays per week (excluding weekends)
n
Willing to work 2 - 5 hour shifts
n
Can do early starts and late finishes
n
What you'll do n
n
Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them
n
Join customers in the community and do recreational activities, willing to drive vans and take customers swimming advantageous
n
Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
n
Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
n
Administration duties and mandatory reporting
n
What you'll bring n
n
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
n
Able to work Overnight Sleep Shifts (advantageous)
n
Personal experience or willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
n
Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans (desirable)
n
Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours (desirable)
n




Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes
n
An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities
n
A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher
