This role will suit an Accountant who enjoys working across multiple client matters and is keen to develop their technical accounting and taxation capabilities.
n
About the Role Working closely with experienced accountants and managers, you will be involved in a range of accounting and compliance activities, including:
n
n
Preparing financial accounts and taxation returns for individuals, companies, trusts and other entities.
n
Assisting with BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance requirements.
n
Performing bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
n
Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting month-end processes.
n
Assisting with bookkeeping and accounting tasks across a portfolio of clients.
n
Preparing financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation.
n
Communicating with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting queries.
n
Assisting senior accountants and managers with client engagements and advisory work.
n
Identifying discrepancies and assisting with the resolution of accounting issues.
n
Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
n




Keeping up to date with relevant accounting, taxation and compliance requirements.

About You n
We are looking for someone with:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in
Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
.
n
Previous experience in an accounting practice or commercial accounting environment.
n
Understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
n
Experience with accounting software such as
Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar
.
n
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
n
Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
n
n
CPA or CA studies, or an interest in pursuing professional qualifications, will be highly regarded.
