We are seeking a safety-conscious, physically capable and self-motivated individual with practical operational experience and strong stakeholder engagement skills. A key focus of the role is supporting the maintenance and operation of flood mitigation assets to achieve agreed levels of service.

Our new has brought together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous hasan operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Remuneration from $67,****** p.a.- $78,****** p.a.Plus statutory superannuation currently 12%

Practical experience in labouring, maintenanceor semi-skilled operational environments.
n
A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.

You will be known for your excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A commitment to safety and compliance,



demonstrating sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.

Ability to swim 25 metres (subject to practical assessment).
n
Your average workday will be kept busy by: n
n
Operate and maintain Council's flood mitigation assets in line with operational plans, to achieve levels of service, including Natural Resource Management considerations.
n
Maintain appropriate and accurate records including completion of forms and data recording in the required format.
n
Undertake labouring activities as required, including the use and maintenance of small plant and equipment and operation of small boats on enclosed waters.
n
Provide building, grounds and garden maintenance at Council properties and assets.
n
Assist the Flood Mitigation Operator – Fabricator to fabricate aluminium and steel projects.
n
