The Financial Accounting Coordinator is responsible for leading Council's financial accounting function, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislative requirements and internal financial controls.
The role coordinates the preparation of the statutory financial reports, grants commission and other financial acquittals, ensuring the integrity of the financial systems remain pertinent and leads a small team of people responsible for timely, accurate, complete and efficient administration of Council's general ledger, payroll, debtors, rates and costing functions including relevant month end and financial year end processes.
The Financial Accounting Coordinator will champion a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance section, through regularly initiating improvements, leading planned process improvement and actively provide work-allocation planning within the Finance team.
