This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced electrician who enjoys leading people, solving complex electrical issues and working closely with production to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day electrical maintenance activities across a busy manufacturing setting, ensuring equipment is operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Supervising daily electrical maintenance activities across the plant
Leading, coaching and supporting the electrical maintenance team
Coordinating maintenance priorities with Production, Operations and Maintenance stakeholders
Responding to electrical breakdowns, fault finding and urgent repairs
Monitoring and analysing electrical maintenance performance and downtime
Investigating root causes and implementing sustainable solutions
Performing hands‐on electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across production and packaging equipment
Troubleshooting PLCs, control systems, VSDs, instrumentation and power distribution systems




Managing electrical maintenance and engineering projects from planning through to completion
Ensuring compliance with WHS, electrical safety and LOTO requirements
About you
Current Queensland Electrical Licence
Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience
FMCG or food manufacturing experience highly regarded
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI/SCADA, VSDs, instrumentation and power distribution
Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment
Understanding of GMP, HACCP and hygienic engineering principles
Previous experience supervising or leading electrical trades
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, hands‐on and solutions-focused approach
