About the role
n
We are seeking an experienced
Intermediate/Senior
Accountant to join our growing and agile team at AFP Accounting, Tax & Business Advisory in Norwest, NSW. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, Companies, Trusts, and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Preparing annual financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, SMSFs, and SME clients.
n
Providing proactive and strategic business advisory services, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
n




Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as their primary point of contact for accounting, taxation, and business advisory matters.
n
Assisting clients with company registrations, trust setups, business restructures, and succession planning.
n
Reviewing work prepared by junior accountants and providing technical guidance and training.
n
Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other professionals to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all client work.
n
Contributing to the growth and development of the Business Services team and the firm as a whole.

About you
n
n
4+ years of experience in a similar business services or public practice accounting role.
n
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (required)
n
CPA or CA (or studying towards a CA) qualification (required)
n
Strong technical skills in accounting, taxation, and business advisory services.
n
Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful insights for clients.
n
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
n
Experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
