Casual Drug & Alcohol Testing Technician / Collector n
Drug Test Australia is seeking an
experienced Drug & Alcohol Testing Technician / Collector
to join our team on a casual basis.
n
This role is suited to someone who already has experience conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing and is confident working independently in professional workplace environments.
About the role n
The position involves conducting onsite workplace drug and alcohol testing, including:
n
n
Oral fluid drug testing
n
Urine drug testing
n
Breath alcohol testing
n
Specimen collection and chain of custody procedures
n
Completing testing documentation accurately and professionally
n
Liaising with employees, supervisors and client representatives onsite
n
n
This is a
casual position with early morning starts, often from 4.30 am,
the first1.5 hours is paid at the applicable overtime rate for the 4.30am early starts.
n
Applicants must be available for a
minimum of four shifts per month
, with additional shifts offered depending on client testing requirements.
Essential requirements n
Applicants must:
n
n
Hold
HLTPAT010 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
, or the superseded equivalent
HLTPAT005
n
Have previous experience conducting
workplace drug and alcohol testing
n




Have experience with oral fluid and/or urine drug testing and breath alcohol testing
n
Understand chain of custody and specimen collection requirements
n
Be confident working independently onsite
n
Have excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
n
Be
reliable
and comfortable with early morning starts
n
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
n
Experience as a pathology collector is welcome, however applicants must also hold
HLTPAT010 or HLTPAT005
and have relevant drug and alcohol testing experience.
The person we're looking for n
You will be professional, calm and confident when dealing with employees in workplace testing situations. You will understand the importance of confidentiality, procedural consistency and accurate documentation, and be capable of representing Drug Test Australia professionally at client sites.

This role would particularly suit an experienced workplace drug and alcohol collector seeking versatile casual work, additional regular shifts, or an opportunity to supplement existing income.
