GDR Electrical Services is seeking a skilled and experienced
Electrician
to join our team on a full time basis in South Gippsland, based in Leongatha. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable electrical services company, contributing to a diverse range of projects whilst delivering high-quality workmanship.
What you'll be doing n
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
n
Reading and interpreting electrical PIDs, diagrams, and technical specifications
n
Performing fault finding/trouble-shooting electrical systems
n
Ensuring all work complies with electrical safety standards, and regulations
n
Performing preventative maintenance on electrical installations to maximize efficiency and longevity
n
Covering maintenance shifts in food/dairy factories
n
Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members on project sites
n
Communicating clearly with clients regarding work progress, timelines, and any issues that arise
n
Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
What we're looking for n
A valid electrical license
n




Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial environments
n
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, building codes, and work health and safety regulations
n
Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, circuit testers, and insulation testers
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
n
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
n
Flexibility to potentially work early mornings, afternoon and night shifts
n
Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
n
A valid driving license and reliable transportation
n
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
