Electrical Apprentice
. This full-time, four-year apprenticeship offershands-on experience working on important community infrastructure and providespaid study time to complete your
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
at Port Macquarie TAFE.
As part of ourteam, you'll gain practical skills working on: n
n
Electrical infrastructure construction projects
n
Three-phase motors and control
switchboardinstallations
n
Industrial wiring for water and sewer processingplants
n
Maintenance of high voltage water supply pumpingstations
n
Community assets including airports, sportingfields, event centres, pools, buildings, waste management and emergency services facilities
n
Installation, maintenance, and repair ofelectrical equipment to a high standard
n
n
You'll also gain valuable exposureand experience working with other trades across mechanical,
instrumentation,data
communications and automation systems broadening your skill set and
futureopportunities.
We are looking for individuals who are: n
n
Willing to learn on thejob and ask questions
n
Interested inmaintaining and improving community facilities
n
Team players with
strongcommunication
skills (both written and verbal)
n
Safety-
conscious,committed
to working safely for yourself and others
n
Able to commit to studyrequirements and complete training in a timely and organised way
n
Hold a current Driver'sLicense (Red P's or more)
n
Hold a current general construction induction card (white card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
n
Able to comply withuniform and PPE requirements, including while at TAFE
n
n

Remuneration and Advantages: n
Employment type: Full-time, four-yearapprenticeship with paid study time (38 hours per week with a 9-day fortnight)
