This is an opportunity for an AV Technician who wants to become exceptional at what they do.
n We're working with a highly regarded Sydney-based technology integrator delivering some genuinely impressive AV projects across commercial, corporate, education, hospitality, entertainment and specialist environments.
n
They're looking for an
AV Technician with around 2-3 years' experience
who has the fundamentals, takes pride in their workmanship and, most importantly,
wants to keep learning and progressing.
n This isn't a role where you'll be doing the same installation every day.
n You'll work alongside experienced technicians, project managers, programmers and engineers, getting exposure to increasingly sophisticated AV integration projects and the technology behind them.
n
The Technology
n
You'll have the opportunity to work with technologies including:

Crestron
– control, Flex, AirMedia and DM NVX AV-over-IP
n
Q-SYS / QSC
– DSP, control, cameras and audio
n
Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom and BYOD/BYOM
n
Dante and networked audio
n
Sennheiser, Biamp, Shure, Tannoy and other professional audio
n
Samsung commercial displays and LED
n
Epson projection
n
PTZ cameras and video distribution
n
AV-over-IP and network infrastructure
n
Rack builds, commissioning, testing and system integration
n
n
Recent projects have included sophisticated corporate workplaces, large multipurpose environments, higher education facilities, immersive entertainment venues and integrated AV environments combining video, audio, control, conferencing and digital signage.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
You'll be involved across the full delivery of integrated AV systems, including:
n
n
Installing and integrating commercial AV systems
n
Rack building,



termination and equipment installation
n
Displays, projectors, cameras, speakers and microphones
n
Crestron and Q-SYS-based systems
n
AV-over-IP and networked AV
n
Cable termination, testing and fault finding
n
System commissioning and troubleshooting
n
Working from drawings, schematics and project documentation
n
Working closely with PMs, programmers, engineers and clients
n
Developing your technical knowledge across current AV technologies
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
You don't need to know everything.
n
We're looking for someone with
approximately 2-3 years of commercial AV experience
who has built a solid technical foundation and now wants to take the next step.
n You'll ideally have:
n
n
Around 2-3 years' experience in commercial AV
installation/integration
n
Good understanding of AV equipment and signal flow
n
Experience with conferencing, audio, video or control systems
n
A strong eye for detail and quality workmanship
n
Good communication and client-facing skills
n
A genuine interest in technology
n
A willingness to learn systems you haven't worked with before
n
The ambition to progress beyond simply being an installer
n
n
