We are seeking an
Intermediate Accountant
to join our
in-office
team in Townsville.
n
This is an In-office, full time position
About the Role n
This is an chance to manage your own client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical expertise and advisory capability.
Key Responsibilities: n
n
Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, trusts and partnerships
n
Review junior team members' work and provide coaching support
n
Liaise directly with clients on accounting and tax queries
n
Assist with tax planning and advisory projects
n
Contribute commercially-minded ideas to improve client outcomes
n
Manage workflow with accountability for quality and timeliness
n
Lead initiatives in Tax, Business Advisory, or Financial Services specialisations
n
n
This role suits someone who enjoys both technical excellence and meaningful client relationships.
About You: n
n
Australian Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,



or a related field
n
4+ years of Australian public practice accounting experience
n
Solid knowledge of accounting standards and Australian tax legislation
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
n
Ability to manage workflows independently and mentor junior team members
n
Strong communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal
n
Experience in Tax, Business Advisory, or Financial Services
n
CA/CPA qualifications (completed or currently undertaking)
n
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
n
