About the Honorary MiPreP trainee HMO Program
n
Monash Health is offeringthe
Monash Health International Medical Graduate Preparation (MiPreP) Program
, a boutique 14-week course specifically designed for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) already in Australia who areseekingto transition into the Australian healthcare system. The program combines an initial intensive 2-week learning block at Monash Health Clayton with two 6-week clinical attachments as aMiPrePHonorary HMO in areas such as Emergency, General Medicine, Aged Care, or Renal across Monash Health sites(Clayton, Kingston, Dandenong, Casey). There is alsoan optionfor a rural 4-week clinical placement with one of our clinical partners.

With a small, highly supported cohort, the
courseprovidesclose
guidance from a dedicated senior doctor, Medical Education Officer and administrator. Participants will work under provisional or limited AHPRA registration arranged by Monash Health, gaining hands‐on experience and preparation for employment within the Australian medical workforce.

Successful applicants will be offered participation in the program scheduled as above.

Hitting The Ground Running (HTGR) course by Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV)
n
Full day course with Monash Simulation Centre
n
Teaching on key clinical topics

Clinical placements – 2 x 6 weeks across Monash Health sites + optional 4 weeks rural placement

Fees:

$A 12,600 (Plus 10% GST) including all costs for HTGR, Monash Simulation courses and assistance with AHPRA registration.

About You
Entry Requirements:
n
n
Passed AMC MCQ examination (part 1)
n
Australian citizenship or permanent resident
n
English Language Test as per AHPRA Standard
n
Undergraduate medical degree and Internship completed in the country of study
n
Eligible for limited or provisional registration with AHPRA
n
n
n Highly desirable:
n
n
Passed Australian Medical Council Clinical Examination(part 2)
n
Previously practiced medicine for more than 2 years
n
Experience of clinical practice within the last 2 years
