Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management across the businesses. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines financial control, compliance and treasury management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring robust financial governance, managing cash flow and funding requirements, supporting investment decisions, and providing meaningful financial insights to assist business growth.
Key responsibilities n
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
n
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reporting packs.
n
Manage loan portfolio accounting, interest calculations, settlements, and reconciliations.
n
Oversee property asset accounting, outgoings, and capital expenditure.
n
Lead treasury and funding activities, ensuring adequate liquidity across the business.
n
Manage statutory compliance, BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and annual financial reporting requirements.
n
Coordinate external audits and liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, legal advisers, and other stakeholders.
n




Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
n
Identify opportunities for process improvement and system efficiencies.
n
Provide strategic financial analysis to support business growth, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
About you n
CA or CPA qualification.
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or similar leadership role.
n
Experience within banking, private lending, financial services, mortgage management, or a related industry.
n
Strong understanding of loan accounting, treasury management, and property asset reporting.
n
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
n
Proven experience managing cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
n
Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax obligations.
n
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
n
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
