The Opportunity n
We're looking for an experienced Application Portfolio Specialist to simplify, optimize and rationalize a diverse application landscape.
n
Working closely with the Application Portfolio Manager, you'll take a hands-on role reviewing an environment of, 86 applications, identifying duplication, under-utilisation and unnecessary cost while helping shape the future application roadmap.
n
This role suits someone who can take ownership, challenge the status quo and turn analysis into practical recommendations rather than simply follow a predefined brief.
What You'll Do n
n
Review and rationalise the application portfolio, retain, consolidate, replace or retire.
n
Analyse application cost, usage, licensing, business value and risk.
n
Identify quick wins to reduce software spend and duplication.
n
Improve software licence management, lifecycle processes and governance.
n
Support application roadmapping and technology procurement decisions.
n
Identify consolidation opportunities across Microsoft 365 and enterprise platforms.
n




Influence stakeholders on application adoption, consolidation and retirement.
n
Support broader transformation initiatives, including future ERP and application decommissioning programs.
n
What We're Looking For n
Experience across Application Portfolio Management, Application Lifecycle Management, Software Asset Management or IT Governance, with demonstrated experience rationalising or consolidating application environments.
n
You'll be commercially minded, confident with stakeholders and able to work autonomously, analysing problems, recommending solutions and driving outcomes.
n
Experience with M365 optimisation, ERP transformation, software licensing, vendor management or Shadow IT will be highly regarded.
Success in the First 12 Months n

Establish an approved software catalogue and application lifecycle framework.

Improve licence management and software spend optimisation.
n
Deliver quick-win application rationalisation and consolidation opportunities.
n
Reduce duplication through Microsoft platform optimisation.
n
Improve visibility across the application landscape and Shadow IT.
n
Deliver recommendations that reduce complexity, strengthen governance and optimise technology investment.
