The Opportunity
Hitachi is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join our
team in Mackay
.
As a
Parts Interpreter
, you will ensure timely and accurate supply of quality parts to both external customers and internal stakeholders.
Your customer facing role will be pivotal in maintaining delivery standards, achieving sales targets, and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Reporting to the Parts Supervisor,



your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with a small team of parts interpreters and internal sales staff
Providing exceptional service to external customers and internal stakeholders
Utilising electronic parts manuals to identify and supply parts according to customer needs
Sourcing parts externally when necessary
Maintaining and updating records using Microsoft Dynamics
Delivering outstanding customer service via phone, email, and over the counter
Working closely with the warehouse to ensure smooth delivery of parts
To be successful in this role you will:

Exhibit a proactive approach to problem resolution and meet customer expectations
Demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and enthusiasm while working in a team to achieve business goals
Build and maintain robust business relationships with both external customers and internal stakeholders
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly regarded
Have a good understanding of earthmoving, construction equipment, or a related industry
Demonstrated experience in spare parts interpreting
A solid mechanical understanding would be advantageous
