Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking an experienced Services Manager to join our Major Projects team in Canberra, playing a key leadership role in delivering the landmark Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Podium Project.
This is more than another construction project.
It's an opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation redevelopment that will transform Australia's high-performance sporting facilities and support our athletes on the road to the Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.
About the Project – AIS Podium Project The AIS Podium Project represents a $***** million Australian Government investment in the redevelopment of the Australian Institute of Sport campus in Canberra.
As the most significant upgrade to the AIS in more than four decades, this landmark project will deliver three world-class facilities designed to support athlete development, performance, wellbeing and accessibility.
The project includes: High Performance Testing and Training Centre: A state-of-the-art facility providing advanced equipment and specialised environments to support athlete testing, training and development.
Indoor Sports Dome: A large, purpose-built indoor sporting facility providing 24/7, all-weather training opportunities for multiple sports, including track and field.
AIS Athletes Village: A new multi-storey, fully para-accessible accommodation facility housing up to 200 people, providing modern living and recovery spaces for Australia's elite athletes.

high-performance sporting environment that supports Australia's Olympic, Paralympic and other elite athletes for generations to come.

The Opportunity As Services Manager , you'll take a leadership role in the coordination and delivery of building services across this technically complex Major Project.
Working closely with the broader project leadership team, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders, you'll ensure services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered to the quality and performance standards required.
With three distinct, highly specialised facilities forming part of the redevelopment, this role offers the opportunity to oversee complex building services requirements across high-performance sporting, training and accommodation environments.
You'll bring both technical expertise and strong leadership , helping drive collaboration across the project and ensuring services requirements are successfully integrated throughout delivery.
RCC's Services Manager position is designed as a senior role within the services function, requiring the ability to lead teams, optimise delivery and provide strategic guidance on services-related decisions.
Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee building services delivery across the project.
Coordinate services contractors, consultants and internal project teams.
Drive services planning, coordination and integration across construction activities.
Manage services-related contracts and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Identify risks, constraints and opportunities early and drive practical solutions.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
Drive quality assurance and ensure services are delivered to the required standards.
Lead, mentor and support members of the services team.
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery.




Work collaboratively across project, safety, commercial and operational teams.
Support commissioning, completion and successful handover of building services.
About You We're looking for an experienced Services Manager who has successfully delivered services across large-scale, technically complex construction projects and enjoys being part of a collaborative project environment.
You'll ideally bring: 5+ years' experience within senior-level services management.
Strong building services experience within the construction industry.
Experience delivering large-scale commercial, health, education, sporting or similarly complex projects.
A strong understanding of building services coordination, installation, commissioning and handover.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing services teams.
Strong subcontractor, consultant and stakeholder management capability.
Excellent planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of services contracts.
Confident communication and leadership skills.
A Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
