Cloud DevOps Engineer - NV1 Required Contract Duration: 3 Months (with potential extension) Location: Primarily Melbourne (Hybrid) / open to Canberra and Adelaide based candidates About the Role We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer for a 3-month contract (with potential extension) .
Melbourne Candidates: Hybrid model (3 days/week in office).
Other Locations: Remote work allowed, with occasional visits to a local office as required.
On-Call: Roster-based rotation (approximately once every 4 to 5 weeks).
Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3).
DevOps Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to automate releases and infrastructure provisioning.
Monitoring Maintenance: Implement and maintain Elastic Stack (ELK) monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Containerization: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
Scripting Linux Admin: Perform Linux (RHEL) server-side administration and write automation scripts using Bash or Python.
Application Support: Work with PHP-based application environments.
Security Compliance: Enforce IAM, network security, data protection, and compliance best practices across cloud environments.




Support Documentation: Provide advanced troubleshooting for production issues and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation.
Key Requirements Qualifications Clearance: Must hold an Active NV1 Clearance .
Experience: Junior to Intermediate level (Minimum 5 years in Cloud DevOps roles, with strong hands-on AWS experience).
Tech Stack: Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3) DevOps/IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift OS Scripting: Linux (RHEL), Bash, Python Monitoring: Elastic Stack (ELK) App Stack: Experience with PHP environments Education Certifications: Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
