TIACS is Australia's home of blue-collar counselling, providing free, confidential and accessible professional support to tradies, truckies, farmers, apprentices, blue-collar workers and the people who care about them.

This role is about making sure the people who need that support know TIACS exists, trust the service, and know how to access it.

The role
This is not a desk-based role.
Based in Brisbane, you'll work nationally across worksites, industry events and community initiatives, building trusted relationships with workers, employers, industry groups and decision-makers.
You'll lead TIACS' engagement activity across priority industries and regions, while connecting on-the-ground insights with the broader partnerships strategy to identify opportunities and create longer-term impact.
The role includes regular interstate and regional travel, early starts, evening events and occasional weekend work.

What you'll be doing
Building trusted relationships with workers, employers, supervisors and industry leaders
Representing TIACS across worksites,



industry events and community activities
Delivering practical, relatable engagement that makes mental health support easier to understand and access
Building repeat engagement across priority industries and regions
Identifying partnership, alliance and fundraising opportunities from conversations in the field
Working closely with the Head of Partnerships & Impact to progress opportunities
Coordinating national engagement activity, bookings and travel
Capturing engagement activity, contacts and insights in HubSpot
Sharing on-the-ground themes, barriers and opportunities with the wider TIACS team
Supporting and guiding the Industry & Community Engagement Officer where required
Who we're looking for
You do not need to be a counsellor.
This is a non-clinical role.
We're looking for someone grounded, credible and genuinely good with people.
You might come from a community engagement, partnerships, fundraising or field-based background.
More importantly, you'll be someone who can walk onto a worksite and connect naturally with the crew, then sit down with senior leaders and hold your own.
You'll need to be able to:
Build trust without relying on a polished sales pitch
Communicate naturally with different audiences
Handle sensitive conversations with good judgement and clear boundaries
Work independently and stay organised across a national travel schedule
Follow through on conversations and relationships h
Represent TIACS in a way that is authentic, approachable and down to earth
