We're growing our ANZ Managed Services & Cloud Engineering team and are looking for a DevOps & Platform Support Engineer who enjoys a mix of hands-on cloud engineering, automation, production support and technical ownership.
n
This involves standard business hours with a
mandatory shared 24x7 on-call rotation and applicable on-call allowance.
n
The opportunity
n
This is a dual-focus engineering role.
n
You'll be the technical SME and Level 2 support owner for a critical communications platform within a long-running Managed Services setting. You'll own incidents, problem management, changes, platform health and vendor escalations, while helping ensure the service remains reliable and well supported.
n
Alongside this, you'll work across our wider ANZ cloud portfolio, designing and building solutions, improving existing customer environments and delivering AWS and Azure cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Act as the technical SME for a critical production platform and provide Level 2 support.
n
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes and drive preventative improvements.
n
Coordinate production changes from impact assessment and approval through to implementation and rollback.
n
Work with vendors, customers, engineers and Service Delivery Managers to resolve complex technical issues.
n
Design, build and enhance AWS and Azure cloud environments.
n
Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Pulumi or similar.
n
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
n
Support cloud applications, containers and production environments.
n
Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to improve platform reliability.
n
Maintain runbooks, technical documentation and knowledge across the team.
n

What we're looking for
n
n
5+ years' experience designing and developing cloud solutions.
n
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
n
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
n
Strong Linux, networking and scripting skills, ideally with Python, Bash or Node.js.
n




Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
n
Experience with cloud monitoring, logging and observability tools.
n
Production support experience in a managed services, ITIL or enterprise environment.
n
Understanding of incident, problem and change management.
n
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
n
Experience working with third-party vendors and technical stakeholders.
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
n
AWS or Azure Associate-level certification or above.
n
n
Nice to have
n
Experience with Amazon Connect, CCaaS, telephony/SIP, ITIL v4, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Security Specialty would be highly regarded.
n
You'll be the primary owner of the platform, but you won't be the only person who supports it. You'll work as part of a broader engineering team with backup coverage and shared knowledge.
n
Due to the nature of the project, you must be based in Australia with full, unrestricted working rights. Australian Permanent Residency is the minimum requirement; Australian Citizenship is preferred. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
