nAbout The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse - Theatre to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced theatre nurse or a nurse looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. Our theatre team works across a range of surgical specialties and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care throughout the perioperative journey. You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team where teamwork, respect and continuous learning are highly valued. We foster a positive workplace culture where staff are supported to grow professionally and contribute to ongoing improvements in patient care. You will receive a comprehensive orientation program, supernumerary shifts and ongoing support from experienced Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and senior perioperative nurses.n
nWhat You Will Be Doing As a Registered Nurse – Theatre, you will provide evidence-based perioperative nursing care across the operating theatre environment.n
nYour Responsibilities May Include n
n
Working in
Instrument/Circulating
roles across a variety of surgical specialties.
n
Preparing and maintaining a safe and sterile operating theatre environment.
n
Assisting surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider perioperative team during procedures.
n
Monitoring patients throughout the perioperative phase and responding appropriately to changes in condition.
n
Ensuring accurate clinical documentation and adherence to infection prevention and control standards.
n
Participating in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
n
Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students where appropriate.
n

nOur Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate n
n




Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
Demonstrated experience in a perioperative setting, including
Instrument/Circulating
practice.
n
Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced clinical environment.
n
A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
n
Commitment to patient safety, quality care and continuous improvement.
