Position
Casual Disability Support Worker
Location:
Central Coast NSW
Hours:
10 to 30+ hours per week (with chance for hours to increase over time)
What You'll Do
Empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and aspirations
Promote active participation and inclusion within the community
Support individuals with skill development, community access, and social engagement
Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required
Implement and follow individualised support plans and behaviour support strategies
Provide support to clients with
complex behavioural needs
Work with a diverse range of participants
from 3 years of age through to 60+ years
Maintain professional documentation including
daily progress notes and incident reports
Advocate for the rights, dignity, and independence of people living with disability
Key Requirements
Availability
Monday to Sunday
(varied shifts)
Experience supporting individuals with disability
Experience supporting
complex behaviours
highly regarded




Willingness to provide
personal care support where required
Minimum
less than 1 year experience supporting individuals with disability
required
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong commitment to the rights of people with disabilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to use
Client Record Management Systems
(training provided if required)
Ability to write
clear and accurate progress notes and incident reports
Relevant experience in disability or community support roles
Registered and insured motor vehicle
Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Qualifications & Training
Valid Australian
Driver's Licence
Current
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
NDIS New Worker Orientation Module
Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or Aged Care
Note: Some certifications may be obtained after commencement of employment.
