Guardian Safety Checks is seeking a skilled and experienced
Type A Gas Plumber
to join our team. This is a
full-time position
that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of gas installations and systems across our service area. As a Gas Plumber Type A, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing gas systems whilst adhering to the highest safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be integral to our commitment to providing reliable and safe gas services to our valued clients.
Key responsibilities
Conduct routine gas inspections, maintenance and servicing of gas appliances and systems to ensure they meet safety standards and operate efficiently
Gas line repairs and upgrades
Gas appliance replacements (cooktops, hot water heaters, ducted heaters etc)
Perform diagnostic testing and repairs on gas plumbing systems, identifying and resolving any faults or safety concerns
Complete detailed service reports and documentation, recording all work carried out and any issues identified
Ensure all work complies with Australian gas safety standards and relevant legislation
What we're looking for
Valid Gas Plumber Type A licence and qualifications as required by Australian regulations
Experience in gas plumbing installation, maintenance and repair work
Thorough knowledge of gas safety standards, Australian Standards (AS) and relevant legislative requirements




Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex gas system issues
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
Physical fitness and ability to work in wide-ranging environments, including confined spaces where required
Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to workplace safety practices
A valid driver's licence
Preferred: Experience with residential gas installations, and familiarity with gas safety compliance auditing
What we offer
Competitive salary ($100,000–$110,000 + super, depending on experience)
Car allowance + fuel card OR a company vehicle - your choice
38 hours/week, Monday to Friday
